23-YEAR-OLD CALVARY CHURCH YOUTH LEADER CHARGED WITH HAVING UNLAWFUL SEX WITH
14-YEAR-OLD GIRL FROM CHURCH

 

SANTA ANA – A youth leader from Calvary Church in Santa Ana has been charged with having unlawful sex with a 14-year-old girl whom he met through the church. Cezar David Soriano, 23, Tustin, is charged with felony unlawful sexual intercourse, felony oral copulation of a minor between the ages of 14 and 15, and felony sexual penetration by foreign object of a minor between the ages of 14 and 15. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum sentence of four years six months in prison. Soriano is being held on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow, Friday, June 8, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Department C-5, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana.

 

Between April 1, 2007 and May 21, 2007, Soriano is accused of having unlawful sex with a 14-year-old girl. He is accused of orally copulating and digitally penetrating her. The defendant is accused of meeting the victim at Calvary Church and grooming her for two years prior to the sexual assault.
