8th GRADE ENGLISH TEACHER CHARGED WITH MOLESTING TWO MALE STUDENTS AT SCHOOL
FULLERTON – A middle school teacher is scheduled for court tomorrow on charges of sexually assaulting two male students. Hugh Scott Wilson, 47, Fullerton, is charged with four counts of lewd acts upon a child and eight counts of oral copulation of a minor with an allegation for committing lewd acts on multiple children. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 10 years and four months in prison. Wilson is being held on
$1 million bail and is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow, Friday, January 12, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. in Department N-3, North Justice Center, Fullerton.
Between January 1, 1999 to July 1, 2005, Wilson, a teacher at Washington Middle School in La Habra, is accused of molesting two male victims in his classroom when they stayed after school for help on class projects. He is accused of molesting John Doe #1 between January 1, 1999 and December 3, 2000, while John Doe #1 was one of his students. He is accused of molesting John Doe #2 between January 1, 2002 and July 1, 2005. Wilson is accused of continuing to sexually assault John Doe #2 after the victim had graduated from the school by meeting him in the junior high classroom and at a dance studio in Fullerton, and engaging in unlawful oral copulation with the minor. He is also accused of sending both victims, who were between the ages of 12 and 14 when the sexual assault began, e-mails with graphic and explicit sexual content.
