WESTMINSTER – An Anaheim Pastor who left court during a pretrial hearing in W-15, West Justice Center, in Westminster, after finding out he could be facing a life sentence has been captured and will be brought back to court tomorrow at  9 a.m.  He was captured by a bail bonds company.  The defendant is accused of collecting money to leave for Mexico when he was caught in Redlands.

In March, the Orange County District Attorney filed seven counts of child molestation involving three victims against Raul Rosas Hernandez, 41, of the “Faith in Action” church.  The defendant was out on $100,000 bail.  His current bail is set at $2.5 million.  He was facing up to 20 years in prison.  Now he is facing life in prison.

The defendant is accused of molesting Jane Doe #1, now 16, on two occasions in 2003.   Jane Doe #1 told her aunt in January 2006 that the defendant molested her when she was 12 and 13.  The defendant is also accused of molesting Jane Doe #2, now 21, on three occasions from 1996 through 1998. The defendant is accused of committing the lewd acts when she was 12 and 13.  Defendant is also accused of molesting John Doe, now 17, when he was 10 years old.  Hernandez is accused of committing the lewd acts on two occasions during 1990 to 1997.  All three were parishioners at the church.

The investigation is continuing on this matter.  If anyone else has been victimized by Hernandez, he or she is urged to call Supervising District Attorney Investigator Craig Kelsey at 714-347-8794.  Deputy District Attorney Aleta Bryant of the Sexual Assaults Unit is prosecuting the case.
