BUS DRIVER TO BE ARRAIGNED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING THREE SPECIAL NEEDS WOMEN

SANTA ANA – A bus driver is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow for sexually assaulting three special needs women.

Circumstances of the Case

  • At the time of the crime, Farris worked as a bus driver for Western Transit Systems, Inc (WTS).
  • The defendant was assigned to a route transporting special needs clients of the Regional Center of Orange County.
  • On March 23, 2017, the defendant is accused of sexually assaulting three victims.
  • Farris is accused of dropping off one client and parking the bus in a nearby neighborhood to sexually assault the other female riders. 
  • When the bus remained parked in the same spot for several minutes, a concerned resident approached the bus to conduct a welfare check. 
  • The resident contacted WTS to report his observations.
  • WTS notified Tustin Police Department (TPD), who investigated this case.

TPD arrested Farris on April 26, 2017.
