CHARGES FILED AGAINST CHIROPRACTORS, ATTORNEY, AND OFFICE ADMINISTRATORS IN UNDERCOVER INSURANCE OVERBILLING STING
SANTA ANA – The Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) has charged seven defendants, including four chiropractors, one attorney, and two office employees in an undercover sting operation targeting insurance overbilling schemes. The undercover operation was coordinated and conducted by the OCDA Automobile Insurance Fraud Unit, which prosecutes insurance fraud cases and investigates legal and provider professionals suspected of defrauding auto insurance companies.
For their cooperation and assistance, the OCDA would like to thank the California Department of Insurance, National Insurance Crime Bureau, Anaheim Police Department, Cypress Police Department, Garden Grove Police Department, Tustin Police Department, Automobile Club of Southern California, California State Bar, Geico Insurance, Hartford Insurance, Infiniti Insurance, Mendota Insurance, Mercury Insurance, and Progressive Insurance Companies.
Deputy District Attorneys Demetra Lewis and Jimmie Harris of the Insurance Fraud Unit are prosecuting these cases.
