DA to be Honored at Multicultural Festival

Westminster — The Orange County District Attorney’s Government and Community Relations unit will be hosting a booth at the Multicultural Festival on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30, 2002 at 8141 13th Street, Westminster (across from Westminster PD).

District Attorney Tony Rackauckas will attend an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting on Saturday from 11-1 p.m. and will be honored with an award on Sunday from 1-3 p.m.  Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions from the public and to disseminate bilingual pamphlets and resource booklets. The District Attorney’s Office hosts booths to outreach and to educate the community, with an emphasis on the immigrant communities, about the criminal justice system and the role of the District Attorney’s Office in their community. The booth also features prize drawings, free face painting, balloons and informational pamphlets.

The booth will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the entire weekend. Rackauckas will be present at the outreach booth following the ribbon cutting and award ceremonies.
