DEFENDANT CHARGED WITH STABBING-MURDER OF MAN IN MISSION VIEJO HOME

 

SANTA ANA – A man will be arraigned today for the stabbing-murder of another man in the victim’s Mission Viejo home. Adam Anthony Ingala-Whiting, 21, Oceanside, is charged with one felony count of murder with the sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon and faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison if convicted. The defendant is being held on $1 million bail and is expected to be arraigned today, Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in Department CJ-1, Central Jail, Santa Ana.

 

Sometime between April 29, 2014, and May 4, 2014, Ingala-Whiting is accused of murdering 47-year-old Francesco Bonomolo by stabbing the victim multiple times while in the victim’s Mission Viejo home.

 

On May 4, 2014, an acquaintance went to Bonomolo’s home and discovered the victim’s body.

 

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into this case and additional information is not being released at this time.

 

Assistant Head of the Homicide Unit Ebrahim Baytieh is prosecuting this case.
