District Attorney Promotes Hispanic Outreach Program
SANTA ANA—The District Attorney’s Government & Community Relations Unit will sponsor a booth at the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at La Palma Park in Anaheim on May 5th and 6th. District Attorney Tony Rackauckas will be at the booth on Sunday starting at 11:30 a.m. to greet festival goers and answer questions.
The community outreach program is designed to enhance public perceptions about the District Attorney’s office, law enforcement and local government in general. It educates the public on how to report crimes and cooperate in prosecutions resulting in a safer community
The District Attorney’s Office will conduct a five-question survey to assess the needs of the community. Other activities at the booth will include a prize wheel, free face painting and balloons. Prizes are courtesy of CSP, Gang Prevention Programs. Pamphlets, in Spanish and English, on various services available to the community can be picked up at the booth. Volunteers from police departments, the District Attorney’s Office and the community will be present to answer questions.
You can visit the booth starting at 10:00 A.M. Admission to the festival is free. For more information, call the District Attorney’s Government & Community Relations Unit at (714) 347-8414.
