District Attorney’s Office Adopts Needy Families for the Holidays

WESTMINSTER —The District Attorney’s Office will host their third annual Adopt a Family program event at the Westminster Community Center from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on December 15.  The program adopts disadvantaged families, identified by local school districts and non-profit agencies, who cannot afford holiday meals or gifts.  This effort is part of the ongoing commitment of the District Attorney’s Office to help improve the quality of life in the communities it serves.

District attorney employee donations will provide 53 families with holiday dinner vouchers, store vouchers and toys for their children.  This event is made possible through the collaboration of the District Attorney Staff, CSP Gang Prevention Program and Toys for Tots.

All adopted families are invited to the holiday celebration and will receive their gifts at the event.  The event will feature a Santa’s workshop, balloons and free face painting.  Santa Claus will greet children and the District Attorney’s Office will provide photos with him.

The Westminster Community center is located on the 8200 block of Westminster Blvd. between Monroe and Beach Blvd. in the city of Westminster.
