FULLERTON – A father and his friend will be arraigned today for abusing a 2-year-old baby girl in a Buena Park home. Myron Nielsen, 28, and Michael Bollinger, 35, are charged with child abuse with an enhancement for causing great bodily injury to a child under the age of 5. If convicted, they face 12 years in state prison. They are scheduled to be arraigned today, August 18, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. in department N-12, North Justice Center, Fullerton.
Between August 14 and August 15, 2006, Nielsen is accused of abusing his 2-year-old daughter in his Buena Park home. He is accused of beating her below the waist, shattering her pelvis. On August 15, 2006, Nielsen’s friend and roommate is accused of abusing the baby while she was in his care by inflicting blunt force to her head and causing serious head injuries.
Deputy District Attorney Renee Jones of the Family Protection Unit is prosecuting the case.
