FEMALE TEACHER CHARGED WITH MOLESTING HER 15-YEAR-OLD MALE STUDENT
*Arraignment this afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
SANTA ANA – A 26-year-old female teacher and leader of the 4-H Club offered thru the University of California Cooperative Extension Program located in Orange was charged with molesting her 15-year-old male student. She will be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. in C55, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana. The defendant is charged with three counts of felony oral copulation of a minor and one count of felony statutory rape. If convicted of all charges the defendant could be sent to five years in state prison.
Lilian Pennington, 26, of Orange, was the project leader of the “Market Swine Project” and the Extra Curricular Activities Director for children between the ages of 6 and 18 years. John Doe, a 15-year-old student, met her through the 4-H Club and was her student.
The defendant is accused of seducing John Doe starting early 2005. The defendant is accused of engaging in numerous unlawful sexual acts with John Doe between July 2005 and January 2006. The defendant is accused of committing these acts at her home and car.
John Doe’s parents began suspecting the defendant and notified the Orange Police Department who conducted the investigation.
Deputy District Attorney Heidi Garrel of the Sexual Assaults Unit will be prosecuting this case.
