FORMER TREASURER OF NATIONAL PARKINSON FOUNDATION ORANGE COUNTY CHAPTER CHARGED FOR EMBEZZLING $286,854
SANTA ANA, Calif. – The former treasurer of the then-National Parkinson Foundation Orange County Chapter (NPFOCC) was charged today for embezzling $286,854 from the non-profit foundation. NPFOCC is now known as the Parkinsons Association of Orange County.

Circumstances of the Case
- On May 14, 2008, Woodhouse was appointed treasurer of NPFOCC.
- Between Jan. 2009 and Apr. 2014, Woodhouse is accused of being a signatory on all NPFOCC accounts and making unauthorized cash withdrawals and several debit transactions to various commercial businesses, in violation of NPFOCC financial rules.
- The defendant is further accused of providing false reports to board members of the chapter’s account balance.
- In 2014, NPFOCC noticed several discrepancies after looking through various bank statements and reported the suspicious activity to Irvine Police Department (IPD).
- Woodhouse is accused of being linked to various unauthorized transactions through a forensic review of NPFOCC’s bank records.
- IPD investigated this case and arrested Woodhouse yesterday.
