FORMER UCI STUDENT CHARGED WITH PROVIDING MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS WHILE IMPERSONATING A DOCTOR
SANTA ANA, Calif. – A former UCI student was charged yesterday with providing medical diagnosis while impersonating a doctor.

Circumstances of the Case
- On May 3, 2018, the defendant is accused of impersonating a doctor and diagnosing John Doe about a growth on his neck at a consult room at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
- On at least seven different occasions between April 23, 2018 and June 4, 2018, Ouskouian is accused of impersonating a doctor at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).
- The defendant is accused of misrepresenting himself as a doctor to CHOC security personnel and gaining access to restricted floors of the hospital.
- Ouskouian is accused of claiming to have lost his hospital badge and requesting a temporary one be issued on each of these occasions.
- When hospital staff became suspicious of the defendant and requested verification of his doctor status, Ouskouian is accused of providing the name of a UCI personnel.
- The defendant is further accused of convincing the UCI personnel of his alleged doctor status. The UCI personnel then verified Ouskouian to CHOC.
- CHOC reported the incident to the Orange Police Department (OPD), who investigated this case.
