IRVINE MAN CHARGED WITH THREATENING TO SET OFF BOMB AT ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT AND ORANGE COUNTY JAIL
SANTA ANA, Calif. – An Irvine man was charged today with threatening to set off a bomb at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) and the Orange County Jail (OCJ).

Circumstances of the Case
- On July 19, 2018, Zanjani is accused of calling the OCSD non-emergency line and yelling profanities at the dispatcher.
- During the call, Zanjani is further accused of threatening to set off a bomb at OCJ.
- On July 21, 2018 the defendant is accused of calling OCSD a second time and threatening to blow up their office.
- OCSD investigated this case and arrested Zanjani in his home.
