LAW ENFORCEMENT SEEKS PUBLIC’S HELP LOCATING FUGITIVE CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT OF THREE MINORS IN SHARED HOME

SANTA ANA –The Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) are seeking the public’s help locating a fugitive charged with sexually assaulting three girls under 10 years old in multi-family shared homes. Law enforcement is also seeking potential additional victims in this case.
Jesus Gomez Montes, 34, Lake Forest, is charged with one felony count of sexual intercourse with a child 10 years or younger, and seven felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14, with sentencing allegations for having more than one victim and substantial sexual conduct with a child. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 130 years to life in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. A $1 million warrant has been issued for Montes’ arrest.
Between 2002 and 2005, Montes is accused of living in at least two multi-bedroom homed in Lake Forest, which were shared by multiple families. The defendant is accused of gaining access to his victims while living in these homes and sexually assaulting three girls under the age of 10 years old.
In April 2013, Jane Doe #3 told a school counselor about the sexual assault, which occurred a decade earlier. The school immediately contacted the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD), who initiated a criminal investigation. In the course of their investigation, OCSD identified Jane Doe #1 and Jane Doe #2 as additional victims.
Montes is a Hispanic male, 5’7”, 170 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a 2004 gold Nissan Murano California license plate 6PWE354. Montes may be in the south Orange County area including Laguna Beach and Lake Forest. He also has relatives in Riverside County.
