Circumstances of the Case
Nunnelly, King, and Moore are accused of being pimps/human traffickers who exploited a child for financial gain.
Nunnelly, King, and Moore are accused of meeting 16-year-old Jane Doe in Northern California and bringing her to Orange County in order to make her work as a prostitute. King, Moore, and Jane Doe engaged in acts of prostitution and Nunnelly is accused of collecting all of the money paid to them for sex acts.
The three defendants are accused of posting multiple sexually explicit advertisements for prostitution online, including at least one depicting naked and sexually explicit pictures of the underage victim. The defendants are accused of pimping Jane Doe for several months and Nunnelly is accused of collecting tens of thousands of dollars from her during that time that she received from men for sex acts.
On June 17, 2013, King is accused of entering into an agreement to perform sex acts in exchange for money with an undercover officer from the Anaheim Police Department (APD). Nunnelly is accused of subsequently being identified as King’s pimp and arrested him nearby in a traffic stop. The officers arrested Moore and King in and around a motel being used by the defendants for pimping and prostitution and Moore is accused of being in possession of cocaine in her purse.
