FULLERTON – Charges were filed today against a man for sexually assaulting a woman after entering her home through an unlocked door and attacking the victim at knife-point.  Dexter Tagudin Villanueva, 44, Anaheim, is charged with two felony counts of forcible oral copulation, and one felony count each of first degree residential burglary, assault with the intent to commit a sexual offense during the commission of first degree burglary, sexual penetration by foreign object by force, and criminal threats. He faces sentencing enhancement allegations for burglary in the commission of a sexual offense, the personal use of a weapon in the commission of a sexual offense, non-accomplice present during a residential burglary, and the personal use of a deadly weapon. If convicted on all counts, Villanueva faces a maximum sentence of 91 years to life in state prison. The defendant is being held on $1 million bail and is scheduled for a continued arraignment on Sept. 4, 2009, at 8:30 a.m. in Department N-12, North Justice Center, Fullerton.

On the evening of Aug. 10, 2009, 59-year-old Jane Doe was sitting on the couch in her Anaheim home watching television. Villanueva is accused of entering the victim’s home through an unlocked door carrying a knife and wearing a bandana on his head and cloth below his eyes to cover his face. He is accused of attacking Jane Doe and continually threatening to stab her as he sexually assaulted her including forcibly oral copulating and digitally penetrating the victim as she pleaded for him to stop and have mercy on her. During the sexual assault, the defendant is accused of putting a pillow over the victim’s face several times.

After sexually assaulting the victim, Villanueva is accused of asking Jane Doe where she kept her purse and stealing her cash. He is accused of threatening to kill her if she called the police and then fleeing the scene.

Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Walker of the Sexual Assault Unit is prosecuting this case.
