MAN CONVICTED OF STABBING-MURDER OF VICTIM HE MET ON CRAIGSLIST

SANTA ANA, Calif. – A man was convicted today of stabbing and murdering a man he met on Craigslist.

Circumstances of the Case:

  • On April 28, 2014, Ingala-Whiting responded to a Craigslist advertisement posted by the victim soliciting a sexual encounter.
  • Later that same evening, the defendant met 47-year-old Francesco Bonomolo at his home in Mission Viejo.
  • Sometime between April 28, 2014, and May 4, 2014, Ingala-Whiting murdered Bonomolo by stabbing him multiple times while in the victim’s home.
  • On May 4, 2014, an acquaintance went to Bonomolo’s home and discovered the victim’s body.
