MAN TO BE ARRAIGNED FOR BREAKING INTO HOME AND MASTURBATING IN FRONT OF GRANDMOTHER AND TWO YOUNG GRANDDAUGHTERS
*The Orange County District Attorney is seeking the public’s help identifying potential additional victims
WESTMINSTER – A man has been charged with breaking into the home of a grandmother and her two grandchildren, masturbating in front of the three victims, and assaulting the adult victim by punching her in the vagina. Ozro Robert Lee, 45, Santa Ana, is charged with one felony count each of first degree residential burglary of an inhabited dwelling, indecent exposure after unlawful entry, aggravated assault, and two felony counts of child annoyance after trespass, and a sentencing enhancement allegation for non-accomplice present during a residential burglary. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of nine years in state prison. The People will be requesting Lee be held on $100,000 bail at his arraignment today, Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 1:30 p.m.in Department W-15, West Justice Center, Westminster.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. on April 15, 2011, Lee is accused of breaking into a Stanton home by prying at the front door using a screw driver or tool. Two little girls, ages 7 and 9 years old, were inside watching television while their 59-year-old grandmother, Jane Doe, was in her bedroom. Jane Doe is the sole caretaker of her granddaughters and suffers from impaired speech and limited mobility due to partial paralysis caused by a recent stroke. The victims do not know the defendant.
Lee is accused of entering the home and walking into a bathroom as the children screamed. Jane Doe heard the screams and came out of her bedroom to find Lee in the house. As Jane Doe yelled for the defendant to get out of the home, Lee is accused of turning toward the three victims, dropping his pants, and masturbating. All three victims continued to scream and Lee is accused of punching Jane Doe multiple times in the vagina with a closed fist. He is accused of then fleeing the scene.
Lee was arrested shortly thereafter outside the residence by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, who investigated this case.
