MAN TO BE ARRAIGNED FOR RAPING AND
ORALLY COPULATING GIRLFRIEND’S
LITTLE DAUGHTERS FROM 1992 TO 1998
LAGUNA NIGUEL – A former Orange County man has been charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s two daughters for multiple years starting when the victims were ages three and six. Richard Doyle Alread, 35, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, is charged with eight felony counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14, two felony counts of forcible rape, and two felony counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child for Jane Doe #1. He is charged with three felony counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14 and two felony counts of forcible oral copulation for Jane Doe #2. He also faces sentencing allegations for substantial sexual conduct with a child and committing lewd acts on multiple children. Alread is being held on $1 million bail and faces a maximum of life in prison if convicted on all counts. He is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow, Friday, August 3, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. in Department S-2, Harbor Justice Center, Laguna Niguel.
Between May 1, 1992 and September 1, 1997, Alread was living in San Juan Capistrano. During this time Jane Doe #1 was between 6 and 11-years-old, and Jane Doe #2 was between 3 and 9-years-old. Alread is accused molesting the two victims on a regular basis by forcing them to masturbate him, making them participate in mutual oral copulation, digitally penetrating Jane Doe #1, and touching both victims’ vaginas. He is accused of showing the victims pornographic movies and magazines and ejaculating many times in front of the victims.
In September of 1997, the defendant’s girlfriend and the victims moved to Norwalk. Between September 1, 1997, and November 30, 1998, Alread is accused of forcibly raping Jane Doe #1 while her mother and Jane Doe #2 were on vacation. He is accused of forcing Jane Doe #2 to orally copulate him. In 1998 the defendant and the victims’ mother split up, and Alread eventually moved to Oklahoma.
On June 26, 2006, Jane Doe #1, then 20-years-old, contacted the Orange County Sheriff’s Department to report the sexual assaults against her and her sister. On August 31, 2006, Jane Doe #2, then 18-years-old, also spoke to Sheriff’s investigators about the crime. Investigators located Alread living in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he had been working as a prison guard. While living in Oklahoma, the defendant is accused of molesting his then-girlfriend’s 10-year-old daughter and one of the daughter’s friends. He is accused of sexually assaulting Jane Doe #3 and Jane Doe #4 by forcing them to touch his penis and engage in mutual oral copulation between 2003 and 2005. He was not charged by Oklahoma officials.
