MASSAGE THERAPIST sentenced for SEXUALLY ASSAULTING THREE FEMALE CLIENTS
WESTMINSTER – A male massage therapist was convicted and sentenced Friday for sexually assaulting three of his clients while working in Seal Beach. Jason Michael Elliott, 29, Sunset Beach, pleaded guilty Oct. 19, 2012, to one felony and two misdemeanor counts of sexual battery. He was sentenced to one year in jail, three years of formal probation, and lifetime sex offender registration.
From Aug. 4, 2009, to April 29, 2010, Elliott worked for nine months as a masseuse at a Seal Beach Massage Envy located at 12340 Seal Beach Boulevard. On three separate occasions, Elliott provided three women massage services and sexually assaulted the victims during each of their appointments. Jane Doe #3 reported the sexual assault to the Seal Beach Police Department, who investigated and learned of the other two victims. The victims in this case did not know each other.
As of July 2011, Elliott was no longer registered as a certified massage therapist through the California Massage Therapy Council.
Elliott’s lifetime sex offender registration bars him from entering County recreational areas and City parks which have passed the Sex Offender Ordinance. Visit www.orangecountyda.com to read the prior press releases on the County’s Sex Offender Ordinance as well as the 14 other cities that have enacted the Child Safety Zone Ordinance including Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Laguna Hills, Lake Forest, La Habra, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Westminster, and Yorba Linda. The Child Safety Zone Ordinance in Irvine and Fountain Valley does not apply to Elliott because this case involves an adult victim.
Deputy District Attorney Vanessa Woods of the Sexual Assault Unit prosecuted this case.
