Comment from District Attorney Tony Rackauckas on the Michael Goodwin Guilty Verdict
“Finally after 18 years, the man who callously murdered two innocent lives has been brought to justice. We have known for a long time that Goodwin was responsible for the murders while he was walking free, and I am grateful to the jury for finding the truth. This verdict means that a dangerous murderer has been taken off the streets. District Attorney Steve Cooley should be recognized for not giving up on justice. Colleen Campbell made sure that Mickey and Trudy’s voices were heard and not forgotten and I am grateful that she will finally be able to give her victim impact statement at sentencing.”
