WHO: Mark Bock, 37, and Jeffrey Worley, 38, of Dana Point.
WHAT: Preliminary hearing on 14 counts of felony animal abuse and 44 misdemeanor charges stemming from their business called “Pearlie’s House of Pomeranians.” The defendants are accused of selling Pomeranians out of their home, maintaining an illegal kennel in the residence, and failing to report more than $484,000 of taxable income. Evidence obtained from the Franchise Tax Board investigation revealed evidence that led to two counts of tax charges being filed for willful failure to file or make fraudulent tax returns.
