MEDIA ADVISORY
WHO: Jon David Tafoya, 25, of Downey.
WHAT: Set to be arraigned on eight felony counts including two counts of murder. The charges stem from a police pursuit on March 5, 2005, in Mission Viejo which ended with a head-on collision that killed two people. Along with the murder charges, Tafoya is charged with two counts each of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, hit and run causing great bodily injury and/or death, and evading police. Senior Deputy District Attorney Dennis Conway in the Homicide unit has been assigned to prosecute the case.
