WHO: Alma Alicia Martinez, 27, Santa Ana
WHAT: Was charged today with one felony count of attempted carjacking, one felony count of second degree robbery, three felony counts of aggravated assault, one felony count of attempted second degree burglary, and two felony counts of elder and dependent adult abuse with sentencing enhancement allegations for the personal use of a knife. If convicted, Martinez faces a maximum sentence of 16 years and six months in state prison. Martinez is scheduled for a continued arraignment tomorrow, May 27, 2016, at 8:30 a.m. in Department C-55, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Officer (OCDA) is seeking anyone with additional information regarding an officer-involved shooting involving Martinez in Santa Ana on Tuesday, May, 24, 2016, at approximately 7:50 p.m. You are encouraged to contact Supervising District Attorney Investigator Dina Mauger at (714) 664-3960.
The OCDA is investigating the officer-involved shooting incident at this location. At the end of the investigation, the OCDA will release a full factual detailed report regarding this incident. It is the policy of the OCDA office to not release further details at this time to ensure the sanctity of the investigation.
