WHO: Forrest Gordon Clark, 51, Trabuco Canyon
WHAT: Clark was charged and is scheduled to be arraigned today for one felony count each of aggravated arson of five or more inhabited structures, arson of inhabited property, arson of forest, criminal threats, two felony counts of resisting and deterring an executive officer, and a sentencing enhancement for arson burning multiple structures. The maximum sentence is life in state prison.
The defendant is accused of setting a fire in Trabuco Canyon, which has damaged or destroyed at least 14 structures.
Deputy District Attorney Jeffrey Clark of the Special Prosecutions Unit is prosecuting this case.
WHEN: Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018 in Department CJ-1, Central Jail, Santa Ana.
