WHO: Orange County District Attorney(OCDA) Tony Rackauckas
WHAT: Will join members of the investigation task force, which includes the Alameda County District Attorney Nancy E. O’Malley, Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge Sean Ragan, Irvine Police Department Chief Mike Hamel, Contra Costa District Attorney Diana Becton, Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert, Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones, and Ventura County District Attorney Gregory D. Totten, to announce a major development in the East Area Rapist/Original Nightstalker/Golden State Killer case.
Bruce Harrington, brother of Golden State Killer murder victims Keith and Patrice Harrington, who were beaten to death in their Dana Point home on Aug. 19, 1980, will also speak at the news conference. In November 2004, OCDA Rackauckas and Harrington worked together to pass voter initiative Proposition 69, which expanded California’s DNA database to include every convicted felon in the state.
