WHO: Jaquinn Bell, 31, Orange

WHAT: Was charged today with three felony counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, one felony count of hit and run with permanent injury or death, one misdemeanor count of driving on a suspended license, with sentencing enhancement allegations for personally inflicting great bodily injury, and fleeing the scene of a crime after committing a vehicular manslaughter. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 17 years in state prison. The People will request he be held on $1 million bail at his arraignment today.

WHEN: Today, Nov. 4, 2014, at 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Department CJ-1, Central Jail, Santa Ana

The Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) investigated this case. The investigation in this case is ongoing and no further information will be disclosed at this time.
