WHO: Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Three

WHAT: Denied a petition for a writ of habeas corpus by defendant Lonnie Kocontes, challenging an order of the Superior Court of Orange County to allow the People to refile the murder case in Orange County. The Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Three, found that the Orange County District Attorney (OCDA) had the right to refile the case.
