WHO: Myung Jae Kim, 56, Irvine
WHAT: Was found guilty by a jury Friday, April 11, 2014, of one felony count each of assault with a firearm, false imprisonment of a hostage, possession of a destructive device in a public place, explosion of a destructive device, criminal threats, three felony counts of assault with a firearm on a peace officer with sentencing enhancements for the personal use of a firearm and personal use of a deadly weapon. Kim faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in state prison at his sentencing.
