WHO: Orange County District Attorney (OCDA) Tony Rackauckas, Dr. Henry T. Nicholas III (Marsy’s Law), and Erin Runnion (The Joyful Child Foundation)
WHAT: Will hold a news conference to discuss strong opposition to three California State Senate bills currently pending in the Assembly that will make dramatic, negative changes to firearm sentencing enhancements, the bail system/ pretrial release, and sex offender registration.
WHEN: Monday, July 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. and a prosecutor will present a thorough overview of the proposed legislation to provide background prior to the on-record portion of the event. The District Attorney’s remarks will begin at 11:00 a.m. Embargoed copies of the news release, remarks, and visuals will be made available for the press.
