WHO: Nuzzio Begaren, 51, Rancho Cucamonga, and Guillermo Espinoza, 37, Norwalk
WHAT: Begaren will be arraigned today on an indictment by the Orange County Grand Jury for the cold case conspiracy to murder his wife in 1998 to collect $1 million in life insurance. Espinoza was also indicted yesterday and remains a fugitive. Both are charged with one felony count each of special circumstances murder and conspiracy to commit murder with sentencing enhancements for murder for financial gain and murder in the commission of a robbery. If convicted, both defendants face a minimum sentence of life in state prison without the possibility of parole.
