WHO: Sean Luke Salaber, 23, Riverside
WHAT: Is scheduled to face trial tomorrow. The defendant is charged with one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud, or deceit, one felony count of assault with intent to commit a sexual offense, one misdemeanor count of brandishing an imitation firearm, and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery. On Sept. 24, 2015, Salaber is accused of sexually assaulting a female jogger on a trail in Laguna Niguel while brandishing an imitation firearm.
If convicted, Salaber faces a maximum sentence of six years in state prison. Deputy District Attorney Heidi Garrel of the Sexual Assault Unit is prosecuting this case.
