WHO: Skylar James Deleon, 29, Long Beach
WHAT: The verdict will be read to determine if the defendant will receive the death penalty. Deleon was convicted by a jury Oct. 20, 2008, of the special circumstances murder-for-profit of Thomas and Jackie Hawks in Newport Beach. Deleon was also found guilty of the special circumstances murder for financial gain of John Jarvi.
