WHO: Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas, The Joyful Child Foundation Founder Erin Runnion, Orange County Department of Education Superintendent of Schools William M. Habermehl, and Founder of GINA For Missing Persons Foundation Jannel Rap.
WHAT: Will speak at a press conference hosted by the non-profit organization The Joyful Child Foundation to increase awareness and remember children who have gone missing or have been murdered by a child predator. The Foundation was founded in 2002 by Erin Runnion, mother of 5-year-old Samantha Runnion, who was abducted, sexually assaulted, and murdered by Alejandro Avila. The commemorative ceremony will be held on National Missing Children’s Day at the former elementary school of Samantha Runnion.
