OCDA SEEKS PUBLIC’S HELP IN Identifying potential additional victims of SEAL BEACH & mission Viejo MASSAGE THERAPIST CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ASSAULTING 3 FEMALE CLIENTS

WESTMINSTER – The Orange County District Attorney is seeking the public’s help in identifying potential additional victims of a male massage therapist who sexually assaulted three of his clients while working in Seal Beach and potentially other additional Orange County cities. Jason Michael Elliott, 28, Sunset Beach, was arraigned Monday, July 11, 2011, on three felony counts of assault with intent to commit a sexual offense. If convicted, Elliott faces a maximum sentence of eight years and eight months in state prison. He is out of custody on $100,000 bail and is scheduled for pre-trial hearing tomorrow, Friday, July 15, 2011, at 8:30 a.m., in Department W-15, West Justice Center, Westminster.
From Aug. 4, 2009 to April 29, 2010, Elliott is accused of working for nine months as a masseuse at a Seal Beach Massage Envy located at 12340 Seal Beach Boulevard. He is accused of meeting and sexually assaulting three female victims while working at this business. In early July 2011, Elliott was no longer registered as a certified massage therapist through the California Massage Therapy Council.
On three separate occasions, Elliott is accused of providing three women massage services and sexually assaulting the victims during each of their appointments. On Sept. 30, 2009, Elliott is accused of sexually assaulting 30-year-old Jane Doe #1 while providing a spa treatment at Massage Envy. On Nov. 8, 2009, he is accused of sexually assaulting 33-year-old Jane Doe #2 while performing a massage service at Massage Envy. The third occasion, April 29, 2010, Elliott is accused of sexually assaulting 21-year-old Jane Doe #3 at Massage Envy while giving her a message treatment.
Following the sexual assault on Nov. 8, 2009, Jane Doe #2 reported it to the Seal Beach Police Department (SBPD). Upon further investigation by SBPD, the defendant was linked to the other sexual assaults. Upon learning of the assaults, Massage Envy terminated Elliott’s employment. Elliott is accused of continuing to provide massage services at additional massage establishments in Orange County including Mission Viejo as well as other cities. On July 8, 2011, Elliott was arrested by SBPD detectives.
