ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY ANNOUNCES NEW SPOKESPERSON
SANTA ANA — Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas announced today that he has hired Mark Macaulay to serve as his Media Spokesperson. From a nation wide search of more than 100 applicants, Mark Macaulay was chosen after three rounds of interviews and a skills test.
Mr. Macaulay comes to the District Attorney’s office after a 10-year career in television journalism. Mr. Macaulay began his career in journalism working for the Emmy-award winning New Jersey Network (PBS) as a business and political producer. During his time at NJN he also worked as the assignment manager for the station running the day-to-day operations for NJN’s three bureaus (Atlantic City, Trenton and Newark). After four years at NJN, Mr. Macaulay moved across town to WZBN-Channel 25 and became the main anchor for the nightly “Capitol News Report.” AT WZBN, he covered a wide variety of stories from state house politics to the Megan Kanka murder trial. Mr. Macaulay has also worked as a producer/reporter for The Orange County News channel. Mark is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Political Science.
“I am excited to have such a high-caliber individual join our prosecution team. Mark’s experience in journalism, as well as, his insight into the inner workings of government is going to serve the people of Orange County well,” said Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.
