ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO PARTICIPATE IN ANAHEIM FAMILY FUN DAY

HEALTH AND RESOURCE FAIR

ANAHEIM – The Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) will proudly participate in the Anaheim Family Fun Day Health and Resource Fair on Saturday, June 26, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The free event will be held at Chaparral Park located at 1770 W. Broadway in Anaheim.

The Health and Resource Fair offers families the opportunity to come together with fellow community members and interact with several Orange County agencies and departments, and non-profit organizations. The OCDA Government and Community Relations Unit will host a booth for the first time. The Unit will speak with families and distribute information in English, Korean, Spanish, and Vietnamese about the criminal justice system, victims’ rights, domestic violence, fraud, and identity theft.

Families will have access to local resources including health and wellness screenings. The fair also features performances, food, sports activities and beach-themed game booths with prizes. Families can compete together for a chance to win admission passes to Adventure City, Anaheim ICE, Aquarium of the Pacific, Knott’s Berry Farm, and The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.

Orange County Supervisors Shawn Nelson and Board Chair Janet Nguyen, Senator Lou Correa, and the City of Anaheim will host the fair.
