Santa Ana – Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas will help ring in the New Year as a guest and speaker at the Tet Festival Parade in Westminster, on Saturday, January 24th, at 9:30 am.
Immediately following the parade, District Attorney Rackauckas will join the Government and Community Relations Unit of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA), as they host an outreach booth at the annual Tet Festival, at Garden Grove Park, located at 9301 Westminster Boulevard in Garden Grove. The outreach booth will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th. The District Attorney will be at the booth on Saturday at 1pm.
OCDA staff and volunteers will be available throughout the weekend to answer questions from the public and to hand out bilingual pamphlets and resource booklets about the criminal justice system and the role of the District Attorney’s Office in the Orange County Vietnamese community.
The Tet Festival and Parade is a tradition in Orange County’s “Little Saigon” community. It is held in conjunction with the beginning of the Lunar New Year and the event is aired on Vietnamese broadcasting outlets worldwide.
