ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE TO HOST BOOTH AT VIETNAMESE FAMILY FUN DAY: HEALTH AND RESOURCE FAIR
WESTMINSTER – The Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) will host a booth at the 3rd Annual Vietnamese Family Fun Day: Health and Resource Fair on Saturday, July 24, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The free event will be held at Sigler Park at 7200 Plaza Street in Westminster.
The Health and Resource Fair offers families a day of outdoor fun to promote health and fitness for all of their family members, from children to seniors. Families will have access to free health screenings, food, gifts and prizes. The OCDA Government and Community Relations Unit will speak with families and distribute information in English, Vietnamese, Spanish and Korean about the criminal justice system, victims’ rights, domestic violence, fraud and identity theft.
Families will be able to receive information about family health and public safety from various non-profit organizations and community programs. The fair will also feature entertainment from local youth groups and educational activities that promote health and fitness for children.
Last year’s event drew more than 1,800 visitors and 14 sponsors, and more than 80 exhibitors offered services.
Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen, State Senator Lou Correa, Orange County Health Care Agency-Public Health Services, City of Westminster-Family Resources Center, Advance Beauty College, Alzheimer’s Association, American Red Cross-Orange County, and MOMS Orange County will host the event.
