ORANGE COUNTY PROSECUTORS TO BE HONORED BY MADD AT THE 19TH ANNUAL LUNCHEON

YORBA LINDA – The Orange County Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will be hosting a Law Enforcement & Prosecutor Luncheon on March 16, 2006.  The luncheon will be held at the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.

MADD is a nationwide organization which provides victim services and education to the public about drinking and driving.  MADD also works closely with law enforcement agencies throughout the country to apprehend those who put the public at risk by driving under the influence.  Several police officers and deputy district attorneys will be honored for their time and efforts.  In addition, the awards have increased awareness on the problems of drinking and driving.

Thirteen deputy district attorneys will receive the Diligent Prosecutor Award:  Ray Armstrong, Keith Bogardus, Wendy Brough, Paul Chrisopoulos, Susan Eckermann, Mike Fell, Maureen Hall, Sheila Hanson, Mike Hernandez, Camille Hill, Jana Hoffmann, Kristine Johnston and Matt Murphy.

“I am proud of the work done by my deputies to curb drinking and driving.  Their dedication has saved thousands of lives and made our streets safer,” said District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.
