OUTLAW MOTORCYCLE GANG MEMBER TO BE ARRAIGNED FOR ASSAULTING MAN IN
NEWPORT BEACH BAR FIGHT

*Eight defendants face felony charges related to this case

 

NEWPORT BEACH – A member of an outlaw motorcycle gang will be arraigned tomorrow on charges of assaulting a man from another gang in a Newport Beach bar fight. Rodrigo Jose Requejo, 34, Westminster, is charged with one felony count of gang related assault, one felony count of gang related battery, and one felony count of street terrorism. He is being held on $100,000 bail and is expected to be arraigned tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. in Department H-2, Harbor Justice Center, Newport Beach.

 

A total of eight defendants face felony charges in five criminal cases stemming from a July 2007 fight at a Newport Beach bar between members of two outlaw motorcycle gangs and a subsequent search by law enforcement officers from several Orange and Riverside County agencies.

 

ADDITIONAL DEFENDANTS AND CHARGES

Matthew John Aguilar, 29, Anaheim, (Case #08HF1498) is charged with one felony count of possession of a deadly weapon and one felony count of street terrorism. He is out of custody on $50,000 bail.

 

Phillip Russell Aguilar, 60, Anaheim, (Case #08HF1498) is charged with one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon, one felony count of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, one felony count of possession of a deadly weapon, one felony count of street terrorism, and a sentencing enhancement for criminal street gang activity. He is out of custody on $50,000 bail.

 

Brian David Heslington, 35, Costa Mesa, (Case #TBA) is charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, one felony count of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, and one felony count of street terrorism. The People will be requesting $50,000 bail.

 

John Phillip Lloyd, 41, Costa Mesa, (Case #08HF1496) is charged with one felony count of having a concealed firearm in a vehicle and one felony count of being a gang member carrying a loaded firearm in public. He is out of custody on $50,000 bail.

 

Jose Enrique Quinones, 42, Anaheim, (Case #08HF1497) is charged with one felony count of attempted murder, one felony count of street terrorism, and a sentencing enhancement for criminal street gang activity. Quinones has a prior conviction for a 1986 robbery. He is being held on $1 million bail.
