ROXI FYAD APPOINTED BY ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY TONY RACKAUCKAS AS NEW SPOKESPERSON
SANTA ANA – Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas has announced the appointment of Roxi Fyad as the District Attorney Spokesperson. Fyad has been serving in the Public Affairs Unit since 2007. Before joining the Office, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Chapman University.
Fyad was hired in 2007 as a bilingual Staff Assistant to support the Public Affairs Unit, translate press releases of interest to the Hispanic community, and serve as the Hispanic Spokesperson for the Office. She quickly rose through the ranks and her duties were increased to include writing press releases for all the Units on a daily basis, organize the Victims’ Rights March & Rally, oversee all interns for the Unit, provide quotes to the media, and assist in all aspects of the Unit.
In 2014, Fyad was promoted to Staff Specialist to reflect the extra duties she was performing on a daily basis. She has been promoted again to Spokesperson, effective immediately. As spokesperson, Fyad will maintain her current duties and will now oversee all Office press releases and media advisories and act as the main point of contact for media related inquiries.
“I’m so proud to have Roxi promoted to Spokesperson. She has been an integral part of the Public Affairs Unit since her first day here, in May 2007. Her work ethic and professionalism assures me that she will do a great job,” said Chief of Staff Susan Kang Schroeder.
