TWO WOMEN CHARGED WITH PROSTITUTION AFTER ADVERTISING ON CRAIG’S LIST

FULLERTON — Two women were charged with prostitution after an undercover operation for advertising their services on Craig’s List.  Sunny Ha, 55, Garden Grove, and Soon Kim, 53, Los Angeles, were charged today with one count of prostitution each.  They are scheduled to be in court on March 8, 2006, in the North Justice Center, Department 8, in Fullerton.

On January 11, 2006, Brea Police officers answered an advertisement after logging on to the Craig’s List on the Internet.  When the officer called inquiring about the massage advertisement, he was promised massage by two women.  As instructed, he went to a condominium complex in Yorba Linda on Port Smith Avenue.  When he knocked on the door, he was told to come in.  While in the home, the undercover officer agreed with the scantily clad two to have oral sex and intercourse for $200.

“The advancement in technology is giving a new twist to the oldest profession in the world,” stated Deputy District Attorney Steven Schriver who filed the case.
