YOUTH COUNSELOR CHARGED WITH
MOLESTING 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL
AT YMCA IN RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA

 

LAGUNA NIGUEL – A counselor for the YMCA has been charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl during program hours on-site at a Rancho Santa Margarita YMCA facility. John Brandon Mohler, 34, Lake Forest, is charged with lewd acts on a child under 14 and faces a maximum sentence of eight years in prison if convicted. He is being held on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow, Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Department S-2, Harbor Justice Center, Laguna Niguel.

 

Between March 1, 2007 and March 31, 2007, Mohler is accused of molesting Jane Doe during program hours while working at the YMCA in Rancho Santa Margarita at 22232 El Paseo.  He is accused of putting his hand underneath and up the shirt of the 10-year-old victim. He is also accused of grabbing her buttocks.
